Welcome!

Welcome to a secondary blog of Tempus Renatus School of Classical Horsemanship!

We are a nonprofit riding school focusing on classical riding, namely in the tradition of the older version of the Spanish Riding School and of Hofreitschule Bueckeburg. I personally have worked extensively with Karl Mikolka and his certified students since my days as a junior rider and have brought several horses up the levels, focusing on biomechanics and how to help horses and riders optimize their bodies. I've worked with gaited horses, horses with ECVM, unconventional breeds, OTTBs, and more, using classical riding, but I consider myself a perpetual student and am always seeking to further my education. This led me to working with Arne Koets and into a deep dive into the rich history and discipline of Rossfechten, or mounted fencing.

The main blog touching on philosophy and other topics is located on our website, and while some of those posts may get cross-posted over here, this blog is going to focus a bit more on training observations and notes on some of the horses in training with us. Some of those horses may be ours, some may belong to other people (horses that belong to others may have details like names, breed, etc. be changed to respect privacy).

Eventually, we may have guest posts from riders who want their journey documented to encourage other equestrians who may be struggling with some of the same challenges, so if you ride with us and want to be a part of this, please let us know!

If anyone has subscribed to this blog in the past and forgotten about it (because it went dormant in 2019), welcome to the new face of our Blogger!
